Saturdaze

You start dying slowly if you do not travel, if you do not read, if you become a slave to your habits, doing the same thing day in and day out, if you avoid emotions that make your eyes glisten and your heart beat fast, if you don’t follow your intuition…

The goal is to make living itself an art, but this does not happen by chance, it happens by change.  It also happens by being alone, eating alone, sleeping alone, because in the midst of this, you learn about yourself.  You grow, you figure out what inspires you, you curate your own dreams, beliefs and clarity.  You become sure of yourself.

In addition to change, life is also meant to be lived taking chances.  Wherever you end up, whomever you end up with, it always ends up the way it should be.  Your mistakes make you who you are.  You learn and grow with each choice [or mistake] you make.  But it’s worth it!  That is you, be okay with it.

Look for a way of life.  Decide how you want to live and then see what you can do to make a living within that way of life.  It is scary when someone says that they do not know what they want “to do” with their life.  To me that is saying that you have no interests, no desires, nothing that makes you want to get up in the morning.

Most people will spend their lives doing jobs that they don’t particularly enjoy, and will eventually save up enough money to stop doing these jobs just in time to start dying instead.  Don’t be one of those people.  There’s a difference between living, and just surviving.  Do something that you love.  It really is that simple.  And that hard.
